Dr. Tom Trigg has 49 years of experience in the field of education. Tom has served as a high school mathematics teacher and coach, high school principal, assistant/deputy superintendent and superintendent. Most recently Tom was the superintendent of Highland Park ISD in Texas and prior to that was the superintendent of Blue Valley USD 229 in Kansas.
In 2009 Tom was named Kansas Administrator of the Year by the Kansas Association of Special Education Administrators. In 2010 Tom was named an Education Icon by Ingram’s Magazine. In 2011 Tom was selected Kansas superintendent of the year and in the same year was one of 4 finalists for National superintendent of the year. In 2015, Tom was chosen by Education Week as a Leader to Learn From and also received the Mike Kneale Educational Excellence in Leadership Award.
Tom received his Ed.D from the University of Kansas, his M.S. in Educational Administration from Emporia State University and his B.A. in Mathematics and Physical Education from
Ottawa University.
Tom enjoys supporting and mentoring leaders at all levels. He has experience/interest in Bond Planning/Elections, Strategic Planning, Leadership Development, and Executive
Coaching.
