Dr. Linda Mora has 48 years of experience in public education having served most recently as the deputy superintendent for curriculum and instruction in Northside ISD (NISD) (retired 2016). She also served the Texas Education Agency as associate commissioner of accountability and accreditation and Region XIII Education Service Center (Austin) as director of statewide initiatives.
In NISD, Linda was responsible for the complete educational curriculum that met both the state-mandated Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills and locally-developed guides and timelines for both the elementary and secondary level. In addition, she oversaw the Educational Improvement Council and the following Curriculum and Instruction Departments: Grants and Recognitions, Organizational Staff Development, and Student Services. She also helped lead the district to more than $1.5 billion bonds passed, and collaborated with the Facilities and Operations Department and architects of record in planning for instructional facilities.

Prior to relocating to the Austin/San Antonio area, Linda was a teacher, curriculum director, assistant principal, principal, and assistant superintendent for instruction at United ISD in Laredo, Texas.
She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Texas A&I University in Kingsville (now under the Texas A&M University System) and doctorate in School Administration from the University of Texas at Austin.
